Awareness is not the same as focus on what is so that you get more of what is and are condemned to repeating what is. Instead, it is more like waking up. Awareness is waking up from a reality you are creating by default because you have not chosen to switch into an objective enough view to realize your control. Awareness is what happens when you have lived and defined your life inside the parameters of an intellectual box because it is all you think about (and therefore all you see)- only to shift your thoughts and suddenly see that more exists outside the parameters of that box you previously thought was the horizon of reality. Awareness is the ultimate observation. In that objectivity, instead of what you are observing having control over you, you now hold the power to take yourself off of autopilot in your actions and reactions. Your true nature is unquantifiable……Teal Scott
where we find softness, we open….where we allow healing, we remember…..where we create essence, we come home…..may we fold in and root in love…..
Don’t surrender your loneliness
So quickly.
Let it cut more deep.
Let it ferment and season you
As few humans
Or even divine ingredients can.
Something missing in my heart tonight
Has made my eyes so soft,
My voice
So tender,
My need of God
Absolutely
Clear.

swaying into an authentic truth
There are times we feel alone and afraid and wish we could curl up in the lap of the Buddha or some other manifestation of love and wisdom. When you long to be held in this way, allow yourself to reconnect with you own awakened heart by first reaching out to whatever you experience as the Beloved, the embodiment of compassion. As you practice invoking an embodiment of compassion, you discover that it is the pathway home to your awakened heart. Each time you dissolve into oneness with the Beloved, trust in your true nature deepens. You become the compassionate presence that holds all suffering with tenderness…..Tara Brach
